BFTI arranged public consultations on 04 studies suggested by Project Steering Committee (PSC) under BRCP-1 Project

Study 1: WTO Special and Differential Treatment (S&DT) and Graduation Challenges

BFTI organized a public consultation on the study one on 21 September 2022 at the BFTI conference room. Dr. Md. Jafar Uddin, Chief Executive Officer of BFTI graced the public consultation as the Chief Guest while Mr. Md. Obaidul Azam, Director, BFTI delivered the welcome remarks and Md. Mr. Hafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary (Director General), WTO Wing, Ministry of Commerce as the Special Guest delivered his remarks on the topic.  

Study 2: A Compiled Policy and Regulatory Guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Cross Border Land Port Management with Respect to International Trade and Transport Formalities, Procedures, Documentation and Related Matters

BFTI arranged a public consultation on the study two on 4 October 2022 at the BFTI conference room. Mr. Md. Mostafa Kamal, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping delivered his remarks as the Chief Guest. Dr. Md. Jafar Uddin, Chief Executive Officer of BFTI graced the public consultation as the Chairperson while Mr. Md. Obaidul Azam, Director, BFTI delivered the welcome remarks. Mr. Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury, President, Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, Mr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Project Director (Joint Secretary), Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project (BRCP)-1 and Mr. Md. Alamgir, Chairman, Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA) also delivered their insightful remarks on the topic as the Special Guests of the program.  

Study 3: Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Co-ordination and Notification, Certification Process and Infrastructure for Promoting Trade.

BFTI arranged a public consultation on the study three on 3 July 2022 in World Trade Center, Agrabad Chittagong. Dr. Md. Jafar Uddin, Chief Executive Officer of BFTI graced the consultation as the Chief Guest; Mr. Md. Obaidul Azam, Director, BFTI delivered the welcome remarks and Mr. Anjan Shekhar Das, Director Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered his remarks on the topic as the Special Guest. 

Study 4: Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Co-ordination and Notification, Certification Process and Infrastructure for Promoting Trade

BFTI arranged a public consultation on the study four on 4 October 2022 at the BFTI conference room. Mr. Md. Sayedul Islam, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture delivered his remarks as the Chief Guest. Dr. Md. Jafar Uddin, Chief Executive Officer of BFTI graced the public consultation as the Chairperson while Mr. Md. Obaidul Azam, Director, BFTI delivered the welcome remarks. Mr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Project Director (Joint Secretary), Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project (BRCP)-1 and Mr. Md.
